Do you remember the first time …
…you went on a hike?
I do.
My first Merrell hiking boots (actually my only one…gotta love shoes, still fit regardless of what my bathroom scale has told me over the years)
A yellow backpack with a hydration pack
This was back in 2009.
Like most New Yorkers who hike, I was headed to the Bear Mountains.
It was such a surreal experience. It didn't take me much time to feel at home amongst those tall green trees, even if I spent my whole life living in concrete jungles.
It's like my soul knew what it needed to feel nourished.
Trees everywhere, providing just enough shade for us hikers and the ferns to thrive. Winding trails lined with wild blueberry bushes. The sweetest berries I ever tasted, which felt like I was sipping on some energy drink while walking. The cold water in the lake where we would soak our feet every time we took a break. And the best part — old and new friends who enjoyed the hike and the conversations as much as I did.
On the subway ride back, I was surprisingly energized and pumped up instead of feeling exhausted after an 8-mile hike.
Now, what if there was a way to feel this way even after a grueling day at work when things don't go your way or you feel like no one listens to you? Instead of feeling drained, what if there was a way to feel energized?
Well, today is your lucky day!
In Episode 6, I will share just that. How To Powerfully Shift From Victim To Visionary, Part Two. This is the second episode of a three-part series in which I share the wisdom of Energy Leadership and how it can help you become an influential leader without losing your peace of mind.

To feeling nourished and energized,

P.S. I have gone on many hikes since then, but this is one activity that never gets old. Every time I return, I feel energized, nourished, and blessed. How about you? What nourishes and energizes you?
