As life stress ramped up to an unsustainable level, due to balancing kids, schedules and increasing work responsibilities, my neck and upper back were in bad shape and I felt a baseline degree of anxiety and tension that rarely disappeared. My body and mind felt in a constant state of reaction, which impacted my relationship with my kids and partner. Nisha worked with me to develop a yoga and breathing practice that finally helped me to relax, strengthen weak areas of my body, and lift the fog inside my brain. She also helped me to tailor the practice to my schedule. Whether I do the full sequence of poses and breathwork or shorten it on a busy day to 15-20 minutes, I feel a sense of calm and clarity that is refreshing and grounding. The one-on-one nature of the class allowed everything to be tailored to my specific needs, and the atmosphere Nisha created was warm and inviting. My pain level has dramatically decreased, and I feel like I have a new set of tools to help me physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
The work Nisha does is inherently empathetic, and she brings to it a wonderful balance of compassion and patience mixed with a practical understanding of the realities of busy life.
